chlare asked for Wes/Angel h/c post-Waiting in the Wings. Rated R, 200 words.
Angel thought everyone had turned in for the night, but the light was still on in Wesley’s office. He found Wesley sitting at his desk, deeply engrossed in thought.
“Hey, Wes. You still here?” he asked.
Wesley awoke from his reverie. “Hmm? Oh, yes. I suppose I should go, shouldn’t I?” He absent mindedly got up and gathered his tuxedo jacket.
Angel stopped him as he tried to walk past. “Are you alright, Wes?”
Wesley smiled sadly. “Yes. Just a little tired. It’s been… quite an evening.”
Angel nodded. “Yeah. It sure has.”
Wesley made to leave again. “Well, good night Angel.”
“Wes, wait a minute.” Angel grabbed his shoulder and squeezed gently. “Do you think… um… would you…”
“Yes, Angel?”
“Would you stay for a drink? I’m exhausted but I don’t think there’s any way I’m getting any sleep tonight.”
Wesley draped his jacket over the desk. “Of course I’ll stay. I don’t think I could sleep either.”
Angel smiled. “Good.”

The next morning Angel awoke and turned to look at Wesley, who was still asleep. They only had the one drink, followed by frantic touches, desperate kisses and passionate love-making. Both slept better than they had in years.
