karabair asked for Wesley/Cordelia and roadside architecture. I took the liberty of going for 200 words instead of 100. I didn't think anyone would mind. :P

“Cordelia, look!”
Cordelia lowered her paperback book and looked up. They had just pulled into the main strip of the town as the sun was setting. Before them lay pastel hued motels and chrome trimmed diners.
Wesley had insisted on revisiting some of the more uniquely American places he had seen as a rogue demon hunter on their way east. Cordelia half-listened to his travel commentary while keeping herself entertained reading romance novels and magazines. One day of traveling sun-burnt old Route 66 was enough for her. “Oh, thank God! We can find a motel.”
“Yes, but look at these buildings! This is a veritable treasure trove of mid-century American roadside architecture!”
Cordelia pointed to a motel that looked least likely to be harboring bedbugs and questionable stains. “Pull into that one.”
“Ah, that neon sign is particularly impressive.” Wesley cooed.
Once they had parked the car, Cordelia reached over and turned Wesley to face her. “Architecture, shmarchitecture. I’m restless, I’m sweaty, and I’ve been reading trashy novels for two hundred miles. Get us a room so we can fuck, okay?”
After that evening, that motel became Wesley’s favorite of his travels--and it had nothing to do with neon.
