As if the day wasn't gloomy enough

Last night during my relatively uneventful Reference Desk stint I was digging around for Wes stories and found theferretgirl's Young!Wes story Wesley's Little Defender, which was all kinds of sad and sweet and absolutely broke my heart and made me want even more Young!Wes stories, sad or bittersweet ones particularly. Actually I've been wanting to read more stuff about Young!Wes for awhile now. Not too long ago I read a fic about Wesley trying to revive the dead bird when he was a boy. Don't remember who wrote it, but I think it was one of you.

Anyway, does anyone know of any other good Young!Wes stories? I'd prefer sad, angsty, poor-little-woobie ones, but I'd give any others a look.

Awwww, yes. It was quite a shocker for everyone when I made Wes' dad do that. 'She loves Ferrets! She'd never do that!' Uh huh... I think that's my best fic ever.

I use the little bird story quite a lot in my RPG's.

This pic is a screencap from the really really bad movie Murder Story that he did 15 years ago. He's so cute in it, as bad as it is.

sottovoce10 wrote the bird story I was thinking about, as janedavitt reminded me. It's part of a short series of related Wes stories that were really good.

The Wes as a child fic you're after was by sottovoce10 and it's absolutely wonderful. I remember reccing it at the time in my LJ and tracked it down through there.

I read a story sometime ago about adult!Wes somehow being transformed into kid!Wes around Christmas time. There was an elf involved. If I can find it, I'll bring back a link!
