Giles finally worked up the courage to ask Wesley. Suddenly he felt like an awkward schoolboy. He took off his glasses and gave them a polishing they didn’t need.
“Wesley, d-do you, um, that that is, I-I was wondering…”
Wesley looked up from his book. “Yes?”
Giles’s mouth opened and shut and opened and shut.
“Rupert, what is it?”
“W-would you care to to--”
Wesley slammed the book shut. “Oh for God’s sake Rupert, spit it out!”
“Willyoumarryme!” Giles blurted out.
Wesley looked stunned. He broke into a brilliant grin.
“Wesley?” Giles asked hopefully.
Wesley answered him with a kiss.
