I dunno why, but I've been thinking about Scritti Politti lately. Like you do. Anyhoo, I dragged out Cupid and Psyche 85 today. OMG so much fun! This is still one of my favorite '80s albums ever, and full of so many good memories. And fortunately, unlike the '80s we have instant videos now!

My favorite Scritti song, Absolute. This video is SO 1980's, you'll discover you've got a poodle perm and are wearing a tapestry vest and leggings by the end of it.

My second favorite Scritti song, Hypnotize. Not much to this vid (except for more vests and buttoned-up shirts and OMG white socks with black shoes! Yes, I did that too) but the song's great.

I love Scritti Politti. Their later albums were quite good as well...they put out a wonderful one a couple of years back.

rhodri played keyboards for Scritti Politti on their tour about a year ago and keeps an LJ. He was also involved in producing and promoting the pop single "Those Rules You Made" in about a month.

My freshman college roommate was way into Scritti Politti. I was from the Freedom Hills of Alabama and had never heard of them. It was one of those doomed arrangements that happen so often in the dorm.

Oh, like wow! I thought that I was one of the few that liked this album, since it was so different from their usual stuff, so it's nice to meet another fan! *beams* Yeah, I get it out every now and then and sing along to the whole thing. :) And there's dancing, too, of course.
