Wes and Connor drabble
Oct. 18th, 2005 12:45 pmDrabble written for
open_on_sunday's challenge of Thunder/Lightning. Dedicated to
crayonbreakygal and her new little one! :)
Wesley flinched as a tremendous clap of thunder rumbled overhead. “Bloody thunderstorms.” He mumbled, a little shaken.
Connor was lying peacefully in the bassinet next to Wesley’s desk. The baby gave only a fleeting glance to the ceiling each time it thundered.
“Not afraid of thunderstorms? What a brave fellow.” Wesley smiled. He tucked Connor’s teddy bear under the child’s blanket. “Perhaps you can keep Teddy safe from…”
Another tremendous thunderclap shook the hotel. Wesley yelped and instinctively clutched the bear tightly to his chest. “Or I-I can k-keep Teddy, uh, safe. Alright?”
Connor giggled at his silly Uncle Wesley.
